Mescaline

Mescaline is the psychoactive ingredient of certain cactus species such as peyote (Lophophora williamsii) or San Pedro (Trichocereus pachanoi), which are native to Central and South America. It has a duration of action of approx. 12 hours and can have a hallucinogenic effect, but does not necessarily have to. The chemical substance has the advantage over ingesting the plant parts that it is easier to dose.
